Our current and ongoing campaign for Manhattan-based Klein Kitchen & Bath involved surveying 3,200 households to find out how many are guilty of food waste. The first discovery was that American households waste almost $1,000 worth of food annually, or in other words, over a quarter (27%) of their food each month – because it’s gone past its expiration date. The study also uncovered a big misunderstanding of food labelling, such as use-by and sell-by dates. So far, the campaign has led to over 3,000 unique referral visits to the client’s website, with an average domain authority of 67.
